Description: Moroccan Red Clay, also known as Rhassoul Clay, is an exceptional cosmetic clay with multipurpose assets and historically used by the ancient people of Kemet (Egypt), North Africa, Rome, Greece, and Turkey.

It is a moisturizer and softener and is excellent for beauty and detox as a mineral rich clay high in magnesium, silica, and potassium. Moroccan Red Clay is great for hair, skin, and nails. It is ideal for kinky, curly, helixical, and coily hair. Detangles 'natural' hair amazingly. - Dominique Andersen (

It is helpful for all adverse skin conditions.

It has the unique ability to both nourish skin, reduce breakouts, increase skin elasticity and skin tone, reduce blemishes and blackheads (due to high negative charge), and reduce skin dryness or flakiness. Great for toning the skin as well.

This clay is also beneficial as a make-up remover or all-purpose face wash.

Moroccan Red Clay is quarry mined from beneath the fertile Atlas Mountains in Eastern Morocco and is sun dried and untreated and has a silk-like feel.

Instructions (for use): Mix one part water to one part clay (thick), or, mix 1 tablespoon to ¼ cup of water (thin). Let stand overnight (or for 12 hours). When clay is ready, apply a thin layer of clay to cleansed skin while gently massaging onto the skin with your fingers (be sure to keep the clay away from your eyes and mouth).

As you apply the clay, never use your fingers in a downward motion, apply with upward strokes. Leave the clay on the skin for 7-12 minutes allowing the clay to slightly dry. If the clay begins to crack and itch, it has been on too long.

To remove clay: Use a wet lukewarm or cool soft wash cloth and lay on your face for a few seconds to soften the mask, then rinse the remaining clay off with warm water. Try not to scrub as you remove the clay.

For hair use: Mix 1 tablespoon Moroccan Red Clay into ¼ cup of water to make a thin mixture. Pour onto hair and massage in. Leave in for 30 seconds before washing out. NOTE: It is important not to let the mixture dry as it can contribute to hair breakage if it hardens
